ON THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF ISRAELI AGRICULTURE

Abstract  Israeli modern agriculture is one in hard production conditions. It characterized as its outward looking agriculture structure,its advanced technology reflected by irrigation and biology technology,and its industrialized management system integrated with production,marketing,sale and service. The experience of Israeli agriculture,especially its sustainable development factors,is realistically significant and revelations for world agriculture in arid and semiarid areas where the land resources and water resources are limited,and also for the sustainable development of Chinese agriculture. The article discusses with emphasis the above mentioned and the feature of Israeli agriculture. The problems which should be paid attention to on the way of sustainable development of Israeli agriculture are also pointed out in the article.
